Jayston has spent over a decade at the intersection of technical driver training and outdoor adventure. A longtime advocate for responsible off-road travel, he has instructed with top-tier organizations like CAM Mobility, 7P Overland, Overland Expo, MyQuest Adventures, and Rendezvous in the Ozarks. He has built offroad courses for Lexus, Honda, Jeep, Land Rover, General Tire, Overland Expo, River Ranch Resort, and many others. His experience spans from private courses to OEM-supported events and public land training, with clients ranging from recreational groups to Tier 1 Special Forces units.
With 14 years of guiding experience in hiking, biking, and paddling, Jayston brings a holistic approach to off-road education—one that blends vehicle skills with backcountry awareness. He emphasizes trail ethics, sustainability, and situational leadership, drawing from deep roots in the Ozarks, where his passion for exploration began.
Jayston has developed and delivered specialized training for a wide range of users, from first-time drivers to elite military teams. His style combines clear, hands-on instruction with a focus on people, vehicle, and terrain preservation.

Charles Hendrickson
Charles brings over 30 years of high-performance automotive engineering experience, making him an elite asset in off-road mobility and advanced driver instruction. He is based out of Southern Arizona. His career began in welding and fabrication at Ron Fry Racing, where he built championship-winning dragster chassis, establishing a deep understanding of structural integrity and precision under pressure.
He expanded his expertise at Arizona Speed & Marine, where he tested and tuned high-performance boats, later serving as an Automotive Technical Advisor for The Speed Channel—a testament to his technical depth and communication skills. As the owner-operator of Pro Dyno High Performance, Charles has become synonymous with cutting-edge vehicle modifications and custom performance builds.
With 15 years as a professional performance boat operator and over 35 years of navigation and sailing experience, Charles brings a seasoned perspective to throttle control, momentum management, and vehicle handling across diverse environments.
He is also a Bondurant-trained driver, with hands-on instruction experience and a natural ability to translate complex concepts to drivers of all skill levels.

Jim West
Jim is a retired Fire Fighter and Paramedic based out of Arizona, with over 30 years of experience supporting remote, vehicle-based expeditions around the globe. He gained international recognition after representing the USA in the 1992 Camel Trophy in Guyana, finishing 2nd overall and earning the coveted “Team Spirit” award.
In 1993, Jim was hired to pre-scout and develop the route book for the Camel Trophy event spanning Paraguay, Argentina, and Chile. From 1993 to 1998, he played a key role in the selection and training of all U.S. Camel Trophy teams, combining technical mobility, wilderness medicine, and leadership under stress.
His expertise and approachability have led to collaborations with respected industry names including Land Rover North America, Wild Trackers, 7P Overland, and the founding of his own company, MyQuest Adventures. Through this platform, Jim provides expert driving instruction, recovery training, vehicle preparation guidance, and emergency medical support for remote expeditions.

Webb Arnold
Webb is a Certified Master Mechanic with over 30 years of experience in automotive, diesel, and heavy machinery systems. He is based out of the western slopes of Colorado. His diverse technical background includes qualifications as a Machinist, Welder, and Heavy Equipment Operator.
Webb’s extensive experience includes a nineteen-year tenure with Daimler/Chrysler International, where he provided expert on- and off-road driving instruction for brands such as Chrysler, Jeep, and Land Rover. He has served as a Driving Instructor and Event Supervisor for high-profile programs including Camp Jeep, Camp Jeep South Africa, and Euro-Camp Jeep, overseeing advanced driving experiences across varied terrain.
In 1991, Webb competed in the U.S. Camel Trophy, navigating the challenging terrain of Tanzania and Burundi. He later served as a U.S. Camel Trophy Team Trainer for six years, sharpening his expertise in off-road driving, terrain interpretation, orienteering, map training, and applied mobility operations in real-world scenarios.
Webb’s career spans work across multiple international locations, from Russia to Puerto Rico, where he has demonstrated exceptional technical adaptability and cultural competence. His ability to deliver high-quality instruction across disciplines and environments makes Webb a standout authority in mobility training, mechanical systems, and global field operations.
Richard Sheridan
Richard has spent decades immersed in the world of off-road driving and vehicle recovery. What began as a passion quickly evolved into a professional path rooted in constant improvement and technical excellence. His training background spans Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom—earning multiple advanced certifications in both on-road and off-road environments, with a focus on recovery, driver instruction, and risk management.
Richard has served as a trainer for Overland Expo and has been contracted by OEMs including Land Rover and Ineos to support training events and media programs. He’s worked in both professional and volunteer capacities, guiding trips, supporting off-road communities, and helping design and refine training curricula for recreational and professional users alike.
In addition to his instructional work, Richard is the founder of Freedom Recovery Gear Ltd., a Canadian-based manufacturer of high-quality recovery gear. His company produces winch lines, extensions, soft shackles, recovery straps, and a proprietary pulley system—designed, tested, and built to meet the demands of real-world off-road use.

A lifelong fan of Toyota Land Cruisers and 4Runners, Dudley is known for his skill in building and customizing Toyota overland rigs — a reputation that’s earned him respect in the community.

Josh Frank
Meet Josh, a seasoned bike guide with over 20 years of experience in the biking industry, joining Ozark 4x4 to lead vehicle-supported bikepacking trips.
Josh first connected with the Ozark 4x4 crew in 2013 through the Overland Guild and brings a wealth of knowledge, including leading weekly shop rides and providing expert advice on bike mechanics and gear.
His cycling journey began in Ohio as a teen, where long rides through farm country offered an escape. Inspired by the film “American Flyers,” Josh took up road cycling at 14, later diving into mountain biking in Pittsburgh. Since then, he’s toured in the U.S., Austria, and Peru; spent years racing cyclocross, and now primarily focuses on gravel and MTB riding. An advocate for preparedness, Josh emphasizes the importance of understanding your gear and always having a backup plan for every trip.
Outside of biking, Josh enjoys hiking, kayaking, and playing bass guitar. He also holds a 3rd-degree black belt in taekwondo and dabbles in chess, gaming, and knife making. His experience and passion make him a well-rounded and knowledgeable guide for any adventure.
